Replace Manuel Da Costa with Emanuel Pogatetz, and you've got yourself a team there.

Re: Your best 11 in the Sullivan/Gold ownership
Fun to think about.

Green
Antonio - Tomkins - Upson - Cresswell
Parker
Lanzini - Morrison - Collison - Payet
Franco

SUBS: Song, Diamanti, Diame, Behrami, Boa Morte, Kouyate, C Cole.

Eek right back is an issue. I probably missed some obvious ones. Really good set of players overall I think.

Pogatetz? Pffffft, got nothing on Roger The Relegator!

Antonio over Demel, Alex?

I agree with Big Dawg in that Demel is very underrated, he was better than Jenkinson.

I was trying to just wedge Antonio in somewhere. Like Bilic.

Re: Your best 11 in the Sullivan/Gold ownership
Even Joey O'Brien is a better right back than Antonio.

Antonio is a RM/RW and that's it for me.

Re: Your best 11 in the Sullivan/Gold ownership
Come on Alex I like you and think you speak sense most of the time but you are on a wind up here aren't you?

You included Upson in your team and not Reid? And Franco up front?

Re: Your best 11 in the Sullivan/Gold ownership
I'm not the biggest fan of Reid. Tomkins is a sentimental pick I suppose. As is Franco, one of my favourite players of our last decade, a joy to watch.

Re: Your best 11 in the Sullivan/Gold ownership
I'm far too lazy to think of such a team, so will just give my backbone.

Green
Reid
Parker
Ba

Ba only played 12 games, but there's been no better striker as him at the club since Ashton.

Re: Your best 11 in the Sullivan/Gold ownership
Must admit I forgot about Ba. Weird thing about him is he played most if not all of that period for us on the left wing.

Re: Your best 11 in the Sullivan/Gold ownership
I'll be fucked if I can work out where the years go by either.

Was thinking it odd that no one had named Lucas Neill, but I see he actually left in 2009!!

Craig Bellamy the same year, loved that bloke.

Actually I am not sure as that feels extremely harsh on Obiang as I really rate him. Close call between him and Parker.... I'll stick with what I put.

Re: Your best 11 in the Sullivan/Gold ownership
you could always drop the largely bob average Alex Song or is he the first name on your teamsheet you bell?

Re: Your best 11 in the Sullivan/Gold ownership
I always enjoyed watching Zola's midfield quartet of Parker, Noble, Collison and Berhami

I'm genuinely looking at some of these picks with absolute amazement, I have to keep re-opening the thread to make sure I didn't make it up myself.

Fat Boy you're right it's laughable I can only hope it's a wind up
